Ryan Patmintra brings extensive experience in government affairs, public policy, political strategy and corporate advocacy to Johnston & Stewart. Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of business, government and politics, advising organizations and elected officials on legislative strategy, communications and public affairs.

Prior to joining Johnston & Stewart, Ryan led Southern regional state government relations for Zillow Group, overseeing legislative and political strategy across 13 states. He previously served as Florida Political Director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee during the 2018 election cycle before joining Rick Scott’s successful U.S. Senate campaign, where he helped oversee communications and policy operations. Ryan also served as Vice President of Public Policy and Advocacy for the Tampa Bay Partnership, acting as the organization’s principal lobbyist and chief political adviser on regional business and economic development initiatives.

Before returning to Florida, Ryan spent more than a decade in Washington, D.C., serving in senior communications and policy roles for congressional offices and committees, including roles with Marco Rubio, former Senate Republican Whip Jon Kyl and the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security. In 2011, National Journal recognized him as one of Capitol Hill’s most influential staffers.
