Lauren Lange

Government Consultant

Lauren brings over eight years of experience in the public sector, serving in both state and federal government capacities.

Most recently, Lauren served as the Health and Human Services Policy Chief in the Executive Office of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. In this role, she oversaw the implementation of a portfolio of healthcare policy priorities within six state agencies for the Governor, while also advising and delivering briefings on pending healthcare legislation and initiatives. Prior to that, she acted as the Special Projects Coordinator, helping to advance the Governor’s policy priorities and work on a wide range of complex policy issues including local government initiatives, healthcare, higher education, insurance reform, appropriations, and immigration policy.

Before joining the Governor’s Office, Lauren served as a Legislative Assistant to former Senate Majority Leader Debbie Mayfield and as an Office Aide to former Representative Frank White. She provides additional experience through her time with the Children’s Bureau at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and in Legislative Affairs at the Florida Department of Children and Families. This work has led her to have both a thorough understanding of the legislative process, and valuable insight into child welfare and healthcare policy.

Lauren is a proud graduate of Florida State University where she received both her Master’s in Public Administration and her Bachelor’s in Political Science and Sociology. She serves on the Whole Child Leon’s Board of Directors and was named a 2022 30-Under-30 Rising Star in Florida Politics.
